Next up on our must-visit restaurants of Los Angeles, we visited a breakfast joint! We went to Division 3 which is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place in Hollywood. It was suggested by Alton Brown, a culinary great we have followed, respected, and admired for a long time. He said the biscuits were to die for, of something of that vein, so we decided…we must try it!
A few weeks ago, we wrapped up our Top 10 Greatest Movies of All Time. We treated this exercise the same as our 25 Greatest Video Games Ever Countdown, which allowed everyone involved to determine their own guidelines for their list. If you’ve been following and reading the captions each week, you’ll notice that some lists spanned over the lifetime of a writer, while others were based just in their childhood. It is intriguing to say that least.
We decided once again to compile the lists and create our consensus Top 5 Movies of All Time. There were much fewer similarities this time around. The only movies repeated on two lists were Blade Runner, Beauty and the Beast, The Dark Knight, The Fifth Element, The Lion King and Life Aquatic. The only movie that made three lists was The Empire Strikes Back. Star Wars films had five mentions while Lord of the Rings filmed only had two. Other series were even less represented, which speaks volumes about the numbers of films that exist and the diversity in our writers.
We would like to extend our sincerest apologies that we did not provide the #2 Greatest Movies of All Time last week! To offer up an excuse…we moved! Still in LA, but just to a different part. Ramen in LA is as common as concrete in K-town. It’s everywhere, and every single place, claims to be the best. Every single place has a cult following of people who will tell you the same. This happened when I went down to visit a friend who worked in Westchester and wanted to go to The Ramen Joint and I told her… this better be good.

Recently, as I was driving through LA, I saw this apple TV banner. While I haven’t watched Game of Thrones since the end of the first season came out live, I’ve heard a lot about it from others. Since we read the books before the TV series was out, we were shocked to find out they were making a series in the first place. No one else knew what A Song of Ice and Fire was since it came out in the early 90s. I can’t imagine there were too many people out there that were more excited about this show than us.
