New Guidelines for Guest Posts

We could probably send an email out to all of the partners we currently work with, but with dozens of new requests every week, that wouldn’t do much good. Instead, we’re hoping that this short post might find its way into their line of sight and get a very clear message across. HERE are the other guidelines.

From now on, you must provide an image, with an image source, when you are submitting a guest article.

Our long time readers know that, while most of the content on the blog is written by us, there have been quite a few guest posts as well. We tag them as a partner to make it obvious (and comply with the FTC), but besides that, it should be relatively easy to recognize that the writing is different. Fit is basically a professional writer, so it is easy to tell when she is behind the keyboard. Hungry has a very conversational and casual writing style, which is also easy to identify.

We just want to update everyone who isn’t aware that not all of the content on here is written by the two of us. We are extremely selective about what is published, and we edit every single article as well. With well over 1,500 published articles, we have our hands on every single one to make sure you’re getting quality content.

Also, as we mentioned, we just want future partners to be aware that they need to provide a properly sourced image with every guest post. We’re running out of stock photos and would need to increase the prices for our guest posts if we started using paid-for photos. Also, we’ve had many partners request that the images aren’t what they were hoping for, which means they should have just given it to us in the first place. Obviously, there can’t be anything that isn’t family friendly.

We’d like to thank all of our readers, our past partners, our current partners, and our future partners. Stay hungry and fit!
