Introducing our Guide to Eating NOLA

Tomorrow, we’re going to unveil a new page on the blog… our guide to Eating NOLA. Since we first moved to New Orleans, about a year ago, we’ve eaten at nearly 150 different places. (Multiple locations of the same chains don’t count.) We’ve dined at some of the most popular spots, while we’ve also found some dives that have very little press. We’ve gone big, with four or five trips to Commander’s Palace. Also, we’ve gone small, with a birthday dinner at a tiny Chinese restaurant in Gretna. What will the guide look like?

The guide will be featured as a tab on our home page, labeled Eating Nola. When you click through, you’ll see a normal page with a list of the restaurants, broken down into locations. The locations will feature the east bank, the west bank, the north shore and also other spots, which will include Houma, Lafayette, Baton Rouge and even the gulf shores in Mississippi and Alabama. We’re basically going to cover places that are within a 2-3 hours drive of New Orleans

Under each area, we’ll list the places that we’ve eaten, with a rating of 1-5. Five is the highest and one is the lowest. While we won’t go in-depth on the guide, we will summarize our experience in one line. Our goal is to get back to reviewing restaurants more often. We should have started at the beginning of the quarantine but we weren’t on the blog much last month.

We’re excited to share the result of a year’s worth of meals in New Orleans with you. Make sure you check out the blog tomorrow.

Stay hungry and fit!
