Why a Gym Should NOT Have Sales Staff!

Today, we released a lengthy video on YouTube, which you can watch HERE. In this video, we discussed why a gym doesn’t need a team dedicated to sales. We felt the same way before covid made a huge impact on the world, so please don’t think this was motivated simply from the economic changes in the past few months.

New Guidelines for Guest Posts

We could probably send an email out to all of the partners we currently work with, but with dozens of new requests every week, that wouldn’t do much good. Instead, we’re hoping that this short post might find its way into their line of sight and get a very clear message across. HERE are the other guidelines.

From now on, you must provide an image, with an image source, when you are submitting a guest article.

How to Calm your Fears Before Going to the Dentist

It’s always good to visit your dentist frequently. By doing that, you are ensuring that your health is in check, even when you think you are healthy and doing okay.

But for most people, fear, and anxiety can reduce the number of times that they go to see a dentist. And this phobia is so common that a survey done by Harvard showed that 13-24% of patients worldwide are anxious before visiting their dentist.

Meal Kits Are Flourishing Again and You Heard It Here First

The pandemic has ushered in a lot of changes in a very short time. For many of us, social distancing, wearing face masks, and limiting exposure to groups of other people remain the norm. Many businesses are still mandating that employees work from home, and numerous schools are still using a distance-learning model.

Another change that’s happened, this one more positive than most, is that meal kits are flourishing once more. You heard about them first here on Hungry and Fit, and they’ve surged in popularity. That makes sense given the risks involved with simply going to the grocery store these days.

Where does the meal kit industry stand currently and what should you know? We’ll discuss all that below.

What is the importance of pediatric advanced life support?

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (“PALS”) is one of the most important fields of the medical industry. It particularly pertains to the branch of medicine which deals with children and their issues and diseases. Provided that children often contract diseases and emergency situations may show up, it is imperative to get hands on such knowledge.

There is a lot of academic literature and theory on whether PALS is important within the medical industry or not. Medical professionals are on the same page as to how important it can be. Many institutes such as United Medical Education (UME) are also of the view that PALS can play a very important role in any medical institute or hospital. Therefore, this article will shed some light on how important PALS can be in the industry of today.

Blueberry Overnight Oats

I’m (Fit, here) back again! Two posts in a row. Crazy, right? I know I’ve been off the blog for a while, but I thought I’d pop in a bit more to share some recipes. And today’s recipe is…Blueberry Overnight Oats! Overnight oats may seem like a trendy breakfast you’ll only find in Los Angeles, but there’s more to it than just the fad. Overnight oats is (are?) a timesaver. It’s a nice colder alternative to traditional oatmeal, especially nice in the warmer months. And you can get really creative with the ingredients you put inside.

We nicked this recipe from the lovely Fit Foodie Finds and made it our own. If you haven’t checked her out, head on over–lots of great recipes to find there. This overnight oats recipe is all about the blueberries! Though, again, overnight oats can be whatever you want to put in, as long as you have a liquid. It’s so incredibly easy to throw these ingredients together and enjoy them the next day in a nice chilled bowl!

Korean Pickled Onion

If you’ve hung out with us long enough, you know we love Korean food. Hungry spent a summer semester in South Korea during college, where he fell in love with the people, culture, and food. Growing up in Los Angeles, Fit had plenty of access to Korean food, lucky for her.

A special part of Korean food is banchan. Banchan is a name for side dishes. There are many varieties of these banchan, including kimchi (probably the most well-known in the States), namul (vegetables stir-fried, steamed or marinated), and pickled onion. We are going to show you how to make pickled onion, Korean style. We are by no means experts on this, but we tried a recipe from futuredish, a Korean food blogger, and loved it! It’s a mixture of sharpness from the onion, sweetness from the sugar, and a nice umami from the soy sauce. Beautifully well rounded.
