If you’re subscribed to our YouTube channel, you might have watched today’s video. What was the topic? Uber acquired Postmates for a lot of money. I go on to talk about how we’re not really fans of meal delivery apps because they’re almost all problematic. Then, while I’m combing through old drafts on our blog, I found this gem. I didn’t change the title. I’m not going to mess with the photos that I uploaded over a year ago. This was first drafted on May 8th 2019. We haven’t used Postmates since.

Tomorrow on YouTube: Millennial Food Quiz
Recently, a Facebook friend shared the featured image on this post, which is a millennial food quiz. This friend lives in the New Orleans area and most of the people who commented on the post had relatively low scores, which I mention in tomorrow’s video. I can only imagine what the results for someone in Los Angeles or San Francisco would look like. My score wouldn’t have been nearly as high if we didn’t live in Hollywood for three years.
In tomorrow’s video, I go over the list one item at a time. I’ll also reveal if I know what it is, if I’ve eaten it, and where I’ve eaten it… if I remember. I know, this would’ve been a much better video if Alana and I recorded it together… maybe we’ll do a part two!
City Lights Bookstore
City Lights is an independent bookstore in San Francisco. There’s a certain appreciation that someone can have for a place like this. We were visiting from LA and walked past by chance while exploring, so we returned later that day to see if they had some more obscure books that were on our reading list and… they did. Both of us went in with a certain edition of a certain book, which they had, at reasonable prices. After browsing through the relatively clearly labeled and organized store, we ended up with a few new books that we never knew existed.
The Muir Woods
When you take a road trip up the Pacific 1 and stop in every major coastal city, you’ve seen a lot. When someone asks you what part was your favorite and you have a quick response, that says a lot. The Muir Woods was that place for me.
Our Up-the-California-Coast Trip in Pictures
We took a great trip renting a Camaro and driving up the California coast with the end destination being San Francisco. We stopped in Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and finally in San Francisco. Hungry is going to make a video of our trip and we will post it on YouTube, can’t wait to see that. This trip was so rejuvenating with so much ocean and greenery. It invigorated our love for travel and exploring.
