Supporting Sweat Angels by Causely

A few months ago, I shot a commercial/promo for Best Friends Animal Society. My co-star Roxie, who is one of my all-time favorite rescues, sat with me for a long time as I recited lines to the camera. She was an angel. (She is currently in a home and so far, so good.) You don’t see a whole lot of her during the commercial, as the video features amazing footage of rescue animals. You will, however, hear my voice telling you about the partnership between Causely’s Sweat Angels and Best Friends.

This is relevant for a few reasons. First, my relationship with Best Friends and animal welfare leads me to support this particular campaign. Second, Sweat Angels by Causely is an effort that gives to non-profits and other charitable missions. If you watch the video, you’ll learn that every single check-in to a participating fitness center (CrossFit box, Yoga studio, gym, etc) leads to a donation from Causely to their partner. This led to nearly $25,000 in donations to Best Friends, which helped saved the lives of nearly 2,500 rescues.

I recommend heading over to their Facebook page and liking it, so you find out about all their new campaigns. If you’re already going to a location that is on their list, you can make a serious impact. If you’re not, and you’re really passionate about a certain cause, you can always go to a different location for that month. The selection of participating gyms in LA isn’t the best, but they’re located further east, in Kentucky. Sweat Angels by Causely supported Best Friends and rescues like Roxie, so I’m going to (and urge you to support) Sweat Angels as well. Be a sweat angel; be hungry and fit!
