No-Bake Sticky Protein Bars
How are everyone’s goals progressing? Are we still working hard? Even if you slip up every now and then, don’t let go of the dream! You’re going to mess up, it happens, it’s better to accept that than be blindsided down the road. However, you need to set yourself up for success as much as possible. That means providing yourself with good snacks and good workouts. In this post, I shared some recipe and workout ideas. Go check them out!
It’s important to get enough protein as you’re chasing goals, whether they be losing weight or gaining muscle. I just discovered this super easy no-bake protein bar recipe from Bodybuilding.com. Yep, that’s right–no baking involved. I changed the recipe somewhat to fit my own needs as you’ll see below. These no-bake protein bars are delicious and I accidentally ate three yesterday (whoops). And yeah, there is no baking involved so this recipe takes as long as it takes you to mix all this things together. You can use any protein powder you want and I used Red Velvet protein powder which is why it’s all red!
- 6 tbsp peanut butter
- 1/2 cup any protein powder (I used red velvet)
- 1 1/4 cup raw oats
- 4 tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- whatever you’d like to top it with (I used blueberries to provide great freshness)
- Mix everything together except the topping (blueberries).
- Put into a bread pan.
- Use whatever topping you want on top (fruit is best!)
- Refrigerate overnight. Slice each one and use a knife or spatula to get it out. Eat with a fork.
One of the simplest recipes ever, right? What I love about it is that it could be different every single time so I won’t get tired of it. I could use different protein powders or nut butters or toppings. This one looked so patriotic! Also, remember, it’s quite sticky. If you don’t like them being sticky, add more oats until the mixture gets drier. However, if you don’t mind, eat with a fork. Bon appetit, am I right! I whipped up these no-bake protein bars in less than fifteen minutes and have been snacking on them all week. They are delicious and nutritious. It depends on what you put in yours, but my macros came to around 197 calories each with 8.2g fat, 18.8g carbs, and 13.4g protein. Not too bad if I do say so myself. Make these protein bars to stay hungry and fit!
