One-Protein-Fits-All: Sunwarrior

I have a friend at work who struggles to get enough protein as a kind-of-vegan (she just doesn’t eat cheese and milk by itself) and who also can’t eat soy. I can suggest all the protein powders in the world, but they usually end up having either milk proteins or soy in them! It’s been a tough case to try to find one that would work for her. As fitness professionals, we run across a lot of people who are soy or dairy limited, so it can be a struggle to provide enough options for good protein. Here at Hungry and Fit we finally found a one-fits-all product! Enter Sunwarrior (epic name, right?).

Sunwarrior products are a raw, plant-based protein that allow all types of populations to enjoy them. A big part of these products is that they are GMO-free, which is huge for us! Don’t even get us started on that topic. There aren’t any chemicals, dairy, gluten, or anything artificial. You know how a lot of protein powders have that weird artificial aftertaste? Not Sunwarrior. They also provide more than just protein powders. They produce supplements such as liquid greens, superfoods, and more. It’s great-tasting and natural–sometimes hard to find in today’s day and age. Sunwarrior was nice enough to send us a sample of their products in a great-quality shaker cup so that we could try a variety of their products!

Hungry and I both sampled different products from Sunwarrior and we both ended up winning. Hungry believes that the Peppermint Ormus Greens are the best in the industry. That is a bold statement from the man. What are Ormus Greens? It includes nutrients from supergreens such as alfalfa, spinach, oat grass, wheat grass, barley grass, and more. They are dried to conserve all the minerals inside of them. They serve as a wonderful probiotic blend to help digestion. Hungry found it refreshing, invigorating, and delicious. He used it before workouts which gave him a plus to his energy.

My favorite were the Warrior Blend protein powders. I can be a bit sensitive to water protein shakes after my willpower test. However, this one tastes great and didn’t make me feel nauseous! Yay! I also really enjoyed mixing it into my morning oatmeal (consisting of oats, flax seeds, honey, cinnamon, and peanut butter) to have a wonderful start to the day. I highly, highly suggest it. Chris also had plenty of the protein powder and found that it mixed well in the shaker cup (some protein powders can stick to the bottom of the cup–misery). It has a subtle flavor that isn’t overpowering–especially when you want to mix it with stuff. We even gave some to try to our vegan friend and she really enjoyed it! So much that she bought herself a tub for herself.

Out of all the products we tried, nothing tasted bad and it all went down smooth. That is a big deal when it comes to fitness supplements and protein powders. We were quite pleased with the Sunwarrior taste, nutrition, and performance and look forward to using their products more. We appreciate a product that is natural and not as harmful to the environment to produce. If you want to learn more about their products, visit their website and just look around. Please feel free to ask questions in the comments below. I also can’t get over how cool their logo is. Use Sunwarrior products to stay hungry and fit!
