Hiking in Idyllwild (How to Escape Los Angeles)

If you read our recent post about going through old drafts, you’d know that most of our ideas didn’t make the cut. A lot of those restaurants aren’t open right now. While many of the ideas are outdated and relevant, some are more welcome now. With restrictions in place across the country, isolated outdoor activity has become more popular than ever. People who never cared for hiking are discovering the beauty of the great outdoors. While we lived in Los Angeles, we were fortunate to discover one of its greatest escapes: Idyllwild.

A Picnic and a Hike

Every month, Hungry and I have goals. Twenty-five to be exact. They are split into five categories: Alana, Chris, Hungry & Fit, Home, Fun. Each have five goals within them. One of our fun goals this month was to do a picnic and hike at Will Rogers with Noke.

LA’s Greatest Escapes: Idyllwild, CA

We wouldn’t normally walk out of a town with brochures and maps, but we couldn’t help ourselves this time around. We’re not really into hanging onto this and that; most of our souvenirs are gifts. When we left Hawaii just a few weeks ago, our bags were just as heavy as when we first arrived, although the amazing experiences don’t weigh anything.

Our Birthday Week + Weekend in Pics

Hungry and I have birthdays just four days apart. Hungry went really above and beyond to make my day(s) special and made sure to include everything that would make me happy: delicious Italian dinner, massage, board games, and family time. For Hungry’s birthday, we kept it low key: played video games, went out to a casual (but delicious) Peruvian dinner, and exchanged cool presents. Very grateful to everyone for their love!
