To continue on the aspect of being thankful, I wanted to talk about being grateful! My friend, Mary Kate, and I like to play a little “game.” It doesn’t really have a name so I’ll call it “3 Things.” Basically, randomly whenever you feel like it, you email a friend, a partner, a family member, three things you’re grateful for. It can be anything from something deep to something that’s simply an everyday thing. Mary Kate and I sometimes just do random days out of a month, or we might do it for days, weeks, or months at a time! It really helps to stop and think about what you’re grateful for. Here are mine today:
1. A soft bed and roof over my head
2. My animals are healthy and happy
3. A partner I can trust
You will probably have more than three and that’s awesome! This is a great habit to keep up whether it be daily, weekly, or monthly, but daily is the best practice. Imagine if every single person slowed down enough each day to think about what they were grateful for. I would imagine there would be a lot less negative feelings and violence than we have today. Anyhow, comment below what you’re grateful for and carry it with you today as you move forward! And as always, stay hungry and fit!
I am thankful for my daughter who takes her role seriously as a person responsible for her fellow humans and the animals that share her life.
I am thankful for humor in my daily life, especially when it’s unexpected.
I am thankful every day for meeting Jacqueline Epps, who changed my life.
