I’m lucky enough to go to work and work with this really awesome person, Meagan, every single day. This really awesome person happened to get married and also happened to invite me! Those who know Meagan, know that she’s an incredibly hardworking, hilarious, [windy–inside joke (and no, it’s not a fart joke)], and caring individual. I was so happy to be able to partake in her wedding and enjoy the magical night with her friends and family. I truly feel lucky to be among the love-sharing and vows that night. Meagan married Brad, an over-the-top funny individual from Tennessee who is also very hardworking and generous. These two match each other like chocolate protein powder and bananas (go with it) and just thinking about them makes me smile.
The two got married at the Inn of the Seventh Ray–a drop-dead gorgeous restaurant location nestled in Topanga Canyon. Topanga is one of my favorite locations in California–it’s a small hippy town in the canyon with kind people, good smells, and surrounded by nature. If I could afford it, I would get a house there today. There are also great hikes there! It was like something out of a movie–it almost seemed like an enchanted forest. At night, there were small lights and candles draped everywhere, giving it that magical feeling. In the background, you could hear hundreds of frogs croaking their song as the wedding-goers danced their way into the night.
The bride was stunningly gorgeous that kind of just took your breath away. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd as she came down to meet the groom. It was a lovely ceremony for two lovely people. Brad couldn’t help but cry when he saw his Meagan coming to stand next to him to join their lives together for good. There was such genuine, raw love that it affected the entire audience. Afterwards, there was good food, good dancing, good speeches, and good people. Everyone had a great time (including the two adorable flower girls) and the wedding will be long remembered. The biggest words that stand out to me are magical and genuine–who could ask for a better start on a new chapter than that? We wish Meagan and Brad all the best in the future years and know that their lives will be filled with laughter and love. As always, stay hungry and fit!
