For Fit:

“Alana is a truly excellent trainer. She is skilled, thoughtful, sensible, and a pleasure to work with. She suggests exercise routines that are individualized and challenging, but not more than you can handle. She knows just how and when to encourage and when to push. Her professionalism and enthusiastic commitment to her work and her clients, provides the perfect scenario for success and sets foundations for a new healthier lifestyle.”

“I am so thankful for all of Alana’s help. I was working 3rd shift and going to school and she created a GREAT workout schedule to fit into my busy days and to fit my level. It’s not always easy to get motivated to work out – but Alana’s workouts are creative and keep you going. I never find myself bored with a routine. Plus, she’s always there to help and check-in to make sure you’re sticking with it :)! Thanks to Alana I’m inspired to stay in shape and eat well. “

For Hungry:

“Chris helped me in 2012 with my swimming. At the time I swam for exercise, but I wouldn’t consider myself a true swimmer. He started off by just offering tips and pointers. He put a lot of effort and care into my swimming. Eventually, Chris was developing entire workouts and drills for me to do, improving on my front-crawl. I started to see results and strong development in my swimming overall. My improvement motived me to sign up for an open water race that summer (1.2 miles in a lake). I was able to place 9th out of 50 + competitors swimming it in 35 minutes and change. I’m proud to say he not only helped me achieve results with my swimming, but gave me the motivation and to try new things such as adding weight-lifting to my work outs and signing up for other events life Spartan Sprint! Thank you Chris!”

“After my junior football season was cut short due to a clear fracture in my fibula and a spiral fracture in the tibia, I suddenly found myself with a lot more free time on my hands. With all this free space in my schedule, I decided to take up a new hobby; swimming. Considering that I had no prior knowledge whatsoever about swimming or the techniques for that matter, I knew that I needed some sort of training if I wanted to try-out for my high school’s competitive swim team . So, I signed up for Chris Tucci’s two day swim clinic offered at the local Y.M.C.A. Recognizing my potential, Chris told me right after the clinic that I had a natural breaststroke ability and that I should keep on receiving proper instruction. I thanked Chris for his kind words, but explained to him that I could not financially afford to pay for private lessons. He smiled and then insisted that he would personally train me free of charge. For months Chris had trained with me 4-5 days a week teaching me new weight lifting exercises, methods to strengthen my ability as a swimmer, and a lot of information about nutrition. Even though lifting and exercising is often viewed as something tedious and repetitive, Chris showed me how to live a healthy lifestyle and have fun in the process. Not only did I make my high school swim team that winter, but I became the team’s fastest breaststroker and received my varsity letter along with a few medals. Even though I had success my first year as a swimmer, my aspirations were set even higher next season. I continued to train with Chris for another 6 months until he decided to move out to Boulder, CO with his lovely girlfriend, Alana. Chris reassured me that I would have a great senior swim and that I would be successful if I kept on being the person I was. This past season I was nominated to Captain of the swim team and finished 2nd All League for the 100 breaststroke. I even qualified for states Thanks to Chris, I went from having no idea how to swim to become not only a competitive swimmer but a leader as well. I am very grateful for the mentoring I received from Chris and still keep in contact with him today. I wish him and Alana the best of luck with their new healthy lifestyle.”

For Hungry and Fit:

In the interest of full disclosure, I am obliged to preface this by saying I’m in love with Alana & Chris, their lifestyle, and all that goes with it.

As a fit, healthy, and happily hungry person with a busy schedule (I work in news) – it is refreshing to bounce workouts and meal ideas off Alana. Her knowledge is surpassed by her unbridled enthusiasm for the health of herself and others. Coupled with the unselfish desire to help and support others that she and Chris share, I can’t urge you enough to share in their services.

It is this combination, of absolute excitement and a natural inclination to help, that is unique, and that you won’t find elsewhere. This is what distinguishes this remarkable pair as bloggers, trainers, and lovers of a healthy life.

I need a work out unit that is good for people with never damage and RA arthritis . I was wondering If the maxicliamer is a good work out for me.

Hi Martina, it would depend on the details and severity of your nerve damage and RA. Does it manifest more in your hands or feet? The Maxiclimber can put a lot of strain in both the hands and feet because they’re the only places where you can anchor yourself to the machine. Send an email to ct@hungryandfit.com so we can talk more in detail.
