August Challenge – Use Your Body!

This August, we’re going back to basics. Even though gyms have opened back up for some, our focus for August is relative strength and body weight exercises. I was so excited to lift weights again for the past month that I forgot to maintain my conditioning and flexibility. Stiffness and shortness of breath are two feelings that people would rather avoid. So, what exactly is the use your body challenge?

How to Improve Your Diet (And Your Relationship with Food)

We are what we eat, which is a simple way of saying that the food we eat directly impacts our health, our mood, and our physical shape. Having a healthy relationship with food means that we can get all the vitamins and nutrients that we need, in portion sizes that our bodies can process. Without this balance, our health and wellbeing can fall out of tandem, and we suffer as a result.

If you don’t naturally have a good relationship with your food, then it can feel like a challenge to reconfigure what you eat and how you feel about your meals, but with this guide, you can start your journey on the right track.

The Health Benefits of Kitesurfing

Kitesurfing isn’t a sport that would immediately spring to mind when thinking about forms of exercise that can help maintain good health. But kitesurfing is one of the world’s fastest growing sports. Our Santa Barbara Trip in Pictures

We recently had a getaway to Santa Barbara. It was not just a trip, but a real vacation. It was just Saturday and Sunday, but boy did it help us relax, refresh, and recharge! It was a beautiful weekend filled with food, beach, lots of walking, and plenty of exploring. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

We did lots of eating...

Working Out Without Equipment

Bad weather, traffic, house chores, errands. There are many reasons why sometimes going to the gym is out of the question, but you really need to get your blood pumping and burn those calories. You may not have your favorite cross trainer or treadmill at home—or any equipment, for that matter—but that doesn’t mean you can’t get fit and build muscle right wherever you are.

By working out at home, you can save money on those pesky gym membership fees and the hassle of going there in traffic and then hustling for equipment, especially at peak times. Another worthwhile tip for saving money besides just the gym is using coupon codes at your favorite stores to get even more off the original retail price. There are many online voucher code sites that can provide you better deals than those offered on the actual site.

Here are some easy and effective ways to work out without equipment. Try them today!
