Universal Studios: What to Do and Not to Do

I challenged myself to write ten Yelp reviews a day… until I have no more reviews to write. The suggestions are based on your activity history and I’ve stumbled upon a time that I decided to check-in to everything that I went to at Universal one day. Well, it’s a lot of rides and food stands, etc. and it got me into thinking, why don’t we give some tips for Universal because… everything is good if you play your cards right. BUT it can be one tough day if you don’t make the right moves.

Here are some tips to make the most out of your visit.

City Lights Bookstore

City Lights is an independent bookstore in San Francisco. There’s a certain appreciation that someone can have for a place like this. We were visiting from LA and walked past by chance while exploring, so we returned later that day to see if they had some more obscure books that were on our reading list and… they did. Both of us went in with a certain edition of a certain book, which they had, at reasonable prices. After browsing through the relatively clearly labeled and organized store, we ended up with a few new books that we never knew existed.

The Muir Woods

When you take a road trip up the Pacific 1 and stop in every major coastal city, you’ve seen a lot. When someone asks you what part was your favorite and you have a quick response, that says a lot. The Muir Woods was that place for me.

Our Up-the-California-Coast Trip in Pictures

We took a great trip renting a Camaro and driving up the California coast with the end destination being San Francisco. We stopped in Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and finally in San Francisco. Hungry is going to make a video of our trip and we will post it on YouTube, can’t wait to see that. This trip was so rejuvenating with so much ocean and greenery. It invigorated our love for travel and exploring.

The Next Steps after the Women’s March

I attended the Women’s March in Los Angeles on Saturday and boy, was it inspiring. There was an incredible feeling of solidarity, empowerment, and action! There were around 750,000 people at the march (more like a rally)–and that was just in Los Angeles! We took over Downtown LA. There were infants to grandparents, men and women, all races, multiple religions, all marching to be heard. I marched to show that no matter who is in control of the country, we will not be silent and we will fight for equality and respect. This march wasn’t just for women–it was for all whose voices have been ignored.

Our Santa Barbara Trip in Pictures

We recently had a getaway to Santa Barbara. It was not just a trip, but a real vacation. It was just Saturday and Sunday, but boy did it help us relax, refresh, and recharge! It was a beautiful weekend filled with food, beach, lots of walking, and plenty of exploring. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!
