Join US for a Tough Mudder in LA!

You’re going to find out how tough a Tough Mudder is. Well, if you’re in LA on March 4th, you can. Not only can you find out how hard a Tough Mudder really is, you can have support from both Hungry & Fit during the race. We both just signed up the Half Mudder (~5 miles) on the 4th of March, 2017, in the Los Angeles area. (It isn’t in Downtown LA!) Now, we want you to sign up, train with us and even race with us.

Back in 2009, Warrior Dash (basically) started the Mud Run movement in the United States. At that time, terms such as Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) and what not weren’t being thrown around since not many people knew about it. Hungry jumped into his first Warrior Dash in 2010 and the rest is history. Since then, not only have Hungry & Fit competed in everything from the Men’s Health Urbanathlon to the Bubble Run, we’ve also helped others tackle these challenges.

In 2012, Fit created a class at the gym that she managed in Colorado that would prepare participants for these kinds of races. The class became immensely popular, with a dedicated group of women coming back every week. While the original goal was to prepare for a single race, the group eventually started signing up for more and they became fearsome competitors.

In 2014, Hungry took this idea and brought it to the gym that he would later manage in Los Angeles. There was a similar effect and as a result, Team Hurricane was born. Team Hurricane quickly went from a Tropical Storm to a Category 5, as members went as far as traveling to Hawaii for real Spartan competition.

At the same time, Fit took it upon herself to lead her co-workers through some mud runs and obstacle course races in Los Angeles. With Fit working at a tech-finance startup, it presented unique challenges but every one of these stories has a fairly happy ending.

Whether it is the spirit of the warrior or some great motivation, we’ve helped dozens of people conquer their fears throughout these muddy challenges. While the race is challenging, it is nothing compared to the training. If you’re interested in joining us for the LA Tough Mudder on March 4th, let us know! And for a limited time, with THIS link, you can sign up for the Half Mudder for just $55.

Trust us, you don’t want to leave this for the last minute. If you sign up right before the race, you’re going to end up paying a lot more. If you don’t train for the race, you’re going to be in a world of hurt, or just really slow. The team is only as strong as the weakest link, but you can be damn sure that if you’re on this team, there is no weak link because that is what being hungry and fit is all about!

P.S. – Keep your eyes out for more information about training sessions. They’ll take place everywhere from Runyon Canyon to Santa Monica Beach. They’ll involve body weight exercises that you hate and pieces of equipment that you’ve probably never seen. Our goal is to start them up in the middle of January, after you’ve all recovered from the holidays. Until then, don’t hurt yourself and sign up!
