The Best Protein of 2016 [GIVEAWAY]

Is it really possible that I can make such a bold claim one week into the year? I haven’t even attended the Fit Expo, IDEA, IHRSA, or any of my other fitness conventions and I’m already sold on a new product? So, you’re probably wondering… what is it? Get to the point, right? Well, before I even get to that, I’m going to hype this up a little bit more and say that I think this will definitely be a contender for the best new supplement brand of 2016.

Now, when I say best, you know it doesn’t necessarily mean biggest or most popular, right? Because that is the problem with the fitness and supplement industry right now. It’s far too easy to spend a fortune on nothing. Attractive men and women representing a product would not necessarily mean that protein has been amino-spiked and that you’re being ripped off, but it should raise a red flag and make you do some research.

The best new brands of the past three years in the supplement industry are MTS Nutrition, JYM, and Kaged Muscle. All three of these brands were created by individuals that are known for their meaningful contributions to the health and wellness industry. You’re far more likely to get a good product from these companies than many of the others who focus on quantity and not quality. Long before those companies came into existence, Optimum Nutrition set the standards in the supplement industry and has fought off the competition to offer products that cater to everyone from beginners to professional athletes. Now, we’re fortunate enough to have a new product distributed by Optimum Nutrition–Trusource.

Trusource has four products available. Protein water, anytime protein powder, protein + energy, and protein java. I’ve tried everything except and protein + energy and can start by saying all the flavors are on point. The protein java tastes like a Starbucks Frappucino and doesn’t leave with a bad feeling in your stomach. I tried it on an empty stomach at 5am heading for a workout and there were no side effects. The Anytime Protein is incredibly smooth and blends without any effort. It has a very mild yet natural flavor, unlike some of those that are either disgustingly strange or too strong.

The real winner here is the protein water. I was terrified to try it. I thought it would be like drinking a swamp. 20 grams of protein in that tiny amount of water… flavored like citrus? Why would I ever agree to that? It was better than Propel, with a bit of a citrus kick on top of the citrus flavor, and went down smooth. I actually almost don’t believe that there is any protein isolate in there. It was an amazing surprise. They have a nice website to check out with some tools on it here and it states that it’s only available at Kroger, so you can even pick this up in your normal grocery trip.

I’d be excited to try the protein java and the protein energy. The combination of protein and energy would be amazing as a morning on the go snack before work. And the Java protein of course is pure genius, because who doesn’t enjoy some form of coffee flavor😍💪

I’m very excited to try the protein water. I’ll be having surgery in about a month and have been looking for a low carb, clear protein drink that doesn’t sit heavy in the stomach. I’m trying it tomorrow and if I like it I’m really looking forward to the coffee drink.

Protein water and a protein Java? I have been waiting for the day I can kickstart my morning workout and rehydrate after all while reaching my protein intake goals!

Protein plus energy seems right up my alley.. but then again so does the anytime protein,.. and the protein Java… I want them all; but if I have to choose I would say I am most excited to try the protein Java. I absolutely love coffee and protein, but rarely have the time make a shake worthy of both. I generally just slam back a whey protein isolate!

I’m really interested in the protein water because it’s so different from other protein supplements I’ve seen out there. But the anytime protein would probably be my favorite.
